Wild Thought:

Wild rhythms
Beating down a path
With unforgotten memories

One by one they hum
One by one they rage
Against a machine of thought
Caught — in mischief,
Ought — to know better.

Beads of sweat touching the brow
As you blink them at the sun—

RUN!
&
Have fun!

Refrain—
From that pain
Let today's newness shape the light of the sun
As you run—

W I L D
&
F R E E

And as you do
Please...
Leave a little thought for me.

Why You Deserve to Run Wild & Free—TODAY

Sometimes we get stuck in our heads.
Overthinking. Over-perfecting. Over-planning.
We forget how natural it is to simply be — to create, to play, to move with joy and spontaneity.

That’s what my latest poem Little Thought is really about.

It’s a reminder that the mind doesn’t always need to dominate. That mischief, fun, sweat, rhythm, and freedom can be just as wise — even wiser — than cautious thought.

In the poem, I wrote:

"RUN!
&
Have fun!"

This isn’t just a line. It’s a nudge.
We all need that moment when we stop rehearsing life and start living it again. Whether that’s dancing like no one’s watching, scribbling words without worrying if they’re “good,” or letting your creative energy flow even when it makes no logical sense.

Too often, we think joy needs to be earned.
But joy is your birthright — especially the messy, mischief-filled kind.

What if you made room for mischief today?

Not the reckless kind — but the soulful kind.
The kind that says:

  • “I’m going to enjoy this moment just for me.”
  • “I don’t need a reason to be free.”
  • “I can create without an audience.”

If you’re someone who tends to overthink (and let’s be honest, most of us do), then maybe today is the perfect day to let your soul take the lead.

🌱 Go for a walk.
🌱 Make a beat.
🌱 Laugh. Sweat. Mess up.
🌱 Just do something that isn’t calculated — and see how much life it brings back into your day.

And if it helps, remember the final line of the poem:

“And as you do
Please...
Leave a little thought for me.”

That’s my way of saying:
As you go out and live wildly, beautifully, and freely… don’t forget that you are connected to me and everything else and your joy is felt. Your freedom ripples out. You don’t need to have all the answers — you just need to act from your soul, TODAY. And of course, if I act the same way, you'll feel that too.

With love and fun,
CJB 🤎
