Nothing Is Something

What if your life goal was nothing?
You'd wake up today with nothing on your mind,
Nothing to say, nothing to find.

What if your life goal was nothing?
You'd leave your happiness to be,
Following what you love, feeling free.

What if your life goal was nothing?
Would you hurry through life or watch it flow?
"NOTHING" is "SOMETHING" when you love it so.

What If Your Life Goal Was Nothing?

We live in a world that screams at us to do more, be more, achieve more. Our days are often a frantic scramble towards an imagined finish line, a relentless pursuit of "something" that promises to deliver happiness, fulfillment, or peace.

But what if all that striving is precisely what's blocking us from the very thing we seek?

I’ve been pondering this a lot lately, watching the quiet wisdom of nature unfold. And it led me to write the above poem.

The Quiet Power of "Nothing"

"What if your life goal was nothing?" This isn't a call to apathy or inaction. It’s an invitation to a profound soul act: a radical re-evaluation of what truly drives us.

Imagine waking up with "nothing on your mind" — not emptiness, but freedom from the incessant chatter, the endless analysis, the primal ego's constant need to fix or achieve. This isn't about escaping reality; it’s about shedding the layers of external expectation that suffocate our innate soul happiness.

When your goal is "nothing," you free yourself to simply be. You allow your happiness to unfold naturally, like a wildflower stretching towards the sun. You find yourself "following what you love, feeling free," because the pressure to get somewhere has dissolved.

Hurry or Flow? The Gardener's Wisdom

The world trains us to hurry, to rush through life as if it’s a race. But true growth — the kind that brings deep, earthy fulfillment — cannot be forced. A seed 🌱 doesn't rush to become a tree; it simply grows. It flows with the seasons, trusting its inherent wisdom.

This is the essence of that powerful final line: "NOTHING" is "SOMETHING" when you love it so.

When you release the need for constant external "somethingness," you create space for the profound "something" of genuine presence. You find richness in the silence, joy in the mundane, and purpose in simply loving everything today.

This "nothing" is a fertile ground, not a void. It's the space where true insights sprout, where authentic connection flourishes, and where the gentle rhythm of your own soul can finally be heard.

So, the next time you feel that frantic urge to chase, to acquire, to be something grand, pause. Ask yourself: What if your life goal was nothing? And then, watch how powerfully "NOTHING" transforms into "SOMETHING" when you simply LOVE ✦ EVERYTHING ✦ TODAY!

Always from my humble soul to yours!
