We’re in THIS Together
For the children of Gaza, the grieving of Israel, and the soul of us all.
We’re in THIS Together
(for the children of Gaza, the grieving of Israel, and the soul of us all)
This ain’t no political speech.
No slogan on a stage.
You might think it is—
but thinking’s an egoic cage.
This ain’t a song—
not one you’d whistle and smile.
What happened in Israel?
Horrific. Wrong.
What’s happening in Gaza?
A crime dragging children along.
And still—
the starvation bombs tick.
You—yes, you,
asking me not to write this—
THIS ain't about taking sides.
It’s what love decides
when hate tries to stay alive.
We’re in THIS together.
Like nature. Like weather—
storms and sun belong to all.
When life is threatened,
when our children fall...
Those who let it happen
already rot inside.
Egos running rampant—
no one enjoys this ride.
No hate.
Just peace.
Don’t complicate.
We’re in THIS together.
Not just now—
Forever.
Love like a river.
Hug like a storm.
Let the hungry-for-power
be drowned in our norm.
Let vengeful greed echo
in a place with no home.
Let every bomb blast
sentence them to being alone.
But don’t think THIS ends here.
Let love root deeper
than anger or fear.
A world not torn by flags and borders,
but stitched by love’s own hand.
A world where no child—ever—
is buried for someone else’s land.
We’re in THIS together.
So if any part of you
rolls its eyes—
and thinks, “What can I do?”
At least—
at least—
pray for LOVE
as you look to dark skies.
Amen.
I certainly don't want to turn CJB into some political vibe. Especially as I have only just relaunched the new design of this blog.
But as an artist, a poet, there are times in life when you say ENOUGH!
What is happening in the Middle East has to stop.
And you know what, anyone who says you cannot just stop because....
Well, they are speaking from the human-animal position.
The soul loves, it is kind, stopping is exactly where peace seeds and grows into something worth everything.
So stop.
No excuses. Stop.
TODAY.
