Today's Thought: Living in Our Heads

We're all human animals, and our incredible experience of being alive is filtered through our "human" body—and all its components. This means that to truly master soul happiness within your body, you need to make peace with living in your head. Think of your head (or brain, if you prefer) as your soul's VR headset to the world around you.

The fact that you can even think about living in your head is a huge clue: it proves you hold the power to change your life today. Seriously, let that sink in!

Every single thing you experience happens through the filter of your mind. But here's the brilliant part: you have seeds that grow into magical beans, much like Jack and the Beanstalk's! These beans grow out of your physical body to help you see life from a dreamlike perspective. How do you climb that beanstalk? Through your imagination!

And there lies the start of your exciting adventure to finding and living in soul happiness. If you're a creative, you already know the liberation of writing a poem, painting, or creating content that sets your inner thoughts free.

It's true: even though you live in your head, you can literally grow out of your mind with your imagination! There are no limitations. This is a liberating way to find the real you—your soul, and to play with it today, every day. Your imagination and your soul are unlimited. Nobody can ever stop you from imagining whatever happy dream you want.

I've been growing out of my mind since I was born, and I believe many kindred souls do this. Are you one of them? My upcoming book, "The Soul Acts" (coming soon - see new cover!), explains much more.

I happily no longer trap myself into thinking I'm just a body. But you do you; there's no preaching here. I'll love you for it. Promise me you'll never change for anyone but yourself?

This brings me to the evolution of this blog. I've completely redesigned this site myself, working through the nights to make this online home easier for you to find what you need. Importantly, it aligns with "The Soul Acts" book, which will make even more sense of what you're experiencing once published.

I've embraced an earthy vibe not because I've lost my love of rainbows, but because after months of testing, social media algorithms actually prefer it! They want dirt, grit. So, I compromised without compromising. I love nature—that's a given! And this just feels so right; my soul is guiding me. I believe yours is too, which is why we're both here. Hello!

What's New?

You'll notice a Subscribe button. Let's keep it real: I'm testing the waters right now, and I'm also caring full-time for my 96-year-old dad. So if you do subscribe, please know I truly appreciate that kindness. When I can, I'll post seeds that will make you smile and feel happy you signed up.

You might also be wondering about "CJB" in all caps. It's my name, but it's more than that. Let's say... CJB = Creative Joy Beckons (okay, I just made that up, but you get the vibe!). I don’t want this blog to be all about me. CJB is also YOU.

My mission is to help you feel soul happiness your way. Whatever life throws at you, I've got your back. If, by some miracle, this community grows to a billion followers (why not dream big?), I might not be able to reply to every post, but I'll try! So, welcome to a new, earthy, natural look, seeded with the same feel. All my blog posts are now called "Seeds" because I believe viewing them grows something good in you. These seeds will still include me "harping on" about the best soul happiness hack, which is to: LOVE EVERYTHING TODAY!

Speaking of eyes, you're the first to know this: my new book cover, on the human side, actually uses my right eye from a photo! And the gorilla uses a real gorilla photo eye. I wanted the soul to come through.
