Soul Palace in the Sun

Today, I recorded a new spoken word poem, and the visuals tell a story as absurd as it is profound: my Boston Terrier, Bella, sitting serenely in a gilded palace, wearing full regal armor, calmly sipping a cup of tea.

Soul Palace 🏰✨

🌱 Seeded by CJB today

The world stands at a mountain pass.
The trail steepens under scrutiny.
Decisions arrive as emotional bullets;
each impact taking a piece of your body.

Every stagger falls into their waiting trap—
until you remember:
no government owns your soul.

Nothing stops the imagining.
You dream utopia into today,
stirring a cup of tea,
the news turned off.

A petal between your fingers,
wind filling your lungs—
this is the revolution they fear.

They bury their signals
into animal senses,
itching you back into their rhythm.

But the soul sees past division.
It flies around the sun and smiles.

Today is always your day.
The moment for soul-happiness,
a timeless soul palace in the sun.

Note: Today's #vss365 poetry prompt word was #scrutiny. Thank you to @GeneVatow for sparking an act of imagination with this wonderful word. This was a double prompt though, so than you to @FoxProse for the prompt "The trail steepens".

Soul Palace: The Revolution in a Teacup

Today, I recorded a new spoken word poem, and the visuals tell a poetic story as absurd as it is profound: my Boston Terrier, Bella, sitting serenely in a gilded palace, wearing full regal armor, calmly sipping a cup of tea.

Why the armor? Why the palace? Why the tea? Because the world stands at a steep mountain pass, and its terrain is getting rougher. We’re being bombarded by emotional bullets from every angle—from the news, from culture, from the constant pressure to stagger and fall into a rhythm that isn't our own.

The Armor They Fear

The poem, Soul Palace, is an act of rebellion. The armor isn't meant to fight the external forces; it’s meant to protect the internal decision to stay home. It’s a physical manifestation of the mental boundary we build when we remember the most vital truth: no government owns your soul.

They fear the quiet, the moment you realize nothing stops the imagining. They fear the peace that comes when you turn the news off and simply stir your cup of tea, noticing the petal between your fingers, feeling the wind fill your lungs. That simple act of presence—of choosing joy and stillness over chaos—is the greatest revolution there is.

The Timeless Palace

Your palace isn't a physical building; it’s the consciousness you build every day. When your soul sees past the division they try to enforce, it flies around the sun and smiles. It knows that this internal sanctuary is timeless, untouchable, and always available.

The video’s imagery—the sunshine, the mountain peak outside the window, the free-flying butterflies—serves as a reminder that this utopia is not a dream for tomorrow, but a reality for today. You don't need to win a battle to find happiness; you only need to settle into the throne of your own mind.

Today is always your day. The moment for soul-happiness is now.

Always from my soul to yours
