OASIS: HAMARTIA NOTES
Didn't get a ticket? Step onto the stage with Oasis right now.
My new #poem dives into the raw heart of music. 🎶
🗣️🎙️🎶 OASIS: HAMARTIA NOTES:
Liam stared through champagne supernova glasses—
asked what's the story? Morning glory?
His voice stretched, ruffed up, colored in ageing smoke.
Things had gone supersonic, thoughts of hamartia notes off key, maybe?
Tonight. On a Cardiff stage. Noel's motto:
Don't look back in anger.
Today's going to be the day,
Back stage puke, hugging vindaloo.
Drum kit stands waiting, salivating.
The first note makes you want to live forever!
Feels like half the world away, today.
You and them, they're back again:
Standing on the shoulder of giants.
🎸🎶
🎙️ Thoughts on this...
The more I use AI for my art, the more I love it. My fears about AI replacing artists? Now reduced to zero. Hear me out.
Because it’s a different genre of art.
The drawing featured in this video simply wouldn’t exist without my input—the trial and error of descriptive words, the final image I selected, and the manual tweaks I made to get the look I wanted.
But I’d never claim this is the same as someone picking up a pencil and drawing two brothers and a drum kit by hand, spending all week perfecting it. THAT is beautiful. THAT is skill. THAT is unique. It’s just… different.
No one would say a handcrafted violin is the same as a machine-made one. That’s a rough (okay, very rough!) analogy, but I think it works for AI art too. It’s not better. It’s not worse. It’s another tool. Another way in.
Too many artists are so busy fearing the tool, they miss the beauty of the mind that wields it—the mind that can prompt AI to pull something from thin air that never existed before. That’s not theft. That’s magic.
Anyway, I’ll stop here.
The image in this video is mine. There, I said it.
Even if I didn’t hand-draw it, I created it—to give you an experience.
That experience is OASIS—loud, proud, legendary.
I love Oasis. I’m hyped they’re back on tour today.
So I made this poem and artwork to celebrate.
I hope you like it.
No…
I hope you LOVE it.
I love you.
Is that a good swap?
See you in the comments. 👇
