You thought you took almost everything from me,  
But you forgot to take my soul.  
  
It took me a while to find,  
But my dead ego bequeathed it to me accidentally.  
  
I had to lever it out with the pain you left,  
What I found was a light that spoke.  
  
Unlike you it told me the truth,  
Forgotten whilst looking outward at you.  
  
I suppose my soul finally found me,  
Rising like a flame into my heart.  
Unstoppable...  
And that is how I now feel!
