Altruism was once just a word  
But I've seen it's real, soars like a bird  
It lifts you higher, way past the sun  
Makes people cry, they feel overcome  
  
Altruism is the way we all should live  
Putting others first, learning to forgive  
I know we can do it, tear the hate from our heart  
Drop the guns, the anger, make a fresh start  
  
So run and tell everyone  
This is our way  
It's so damn simple  
You can do it each day  
Some days will feel harder  
Others won’t be much fun  
But remember, altruism  
Shines brighter than the sun  
  
I get it, it’s hard when nobody cares  
I get it, it’s tough when everyone stares  
But you get it too, altruism clears the air  
People who hated, forgave, now they care  
  
So don't worry if you find it’s hard to do  
Don't worry, trust me, in oneness I'm you  
But let’s not go to the soul today  
Instead let’s keep it human  
But don't humans play?  
  
So let’s run and tell everyone  
This is the way  
It’s right here within us  
Every moment, each day  
Some days may be harder  
But look how far we’ve come  
Never forget, altruism  
Shines brighter than the sun  
  
Can I count on you to show how altruistic you can be?  
Will you count on me to bring hearts closer with dignity?  
Let’s give what we have, not looking for fame  
I’ll do it for you, want to do the same?

"It's a real frustrating thing. Being kind is shunned a lot by social media algorithms. People want to see things that are dangerous, full of hate, shocking. I go against that grain. It is a great way to stick two fingers up to all those who keep feeding the world with hate and anger. I want to turn that around. I want kindness to be the new trend. This is why I try and keep my artwork and writing quirky. To give it a slight edge. But this poem and video is all about giving it everything that is love and kindness.
