## **Flinching**

*Flinching* 
*Bleeding* 
*Holding on* 
  
*Clasping at other people's clicks* 
*Sliding down the echoes of my guitar* 
*Until it finds me* 
  
*Hits my chest* 
*HARD* 
*Again* 
*And again* 
  
*My breath has splinters in* 
*My thoughts the same* 
  
*Cutting* 
*Slicing* 
*Slipping away* 
  
*As I flow downwards* 
*I see light shooting upwards* 
*And I follow it* 
*I grasp it* 
  
*I cling to it as though* 
*My life, you know...* 
  
*It leads me to see* 
*What has always been* 
*In history* 
*In today* 
  
*Now I see it too* 
*Love* 
*BIG* 
*beautiful* 
*LOVE* 
*and it's in* 
*EVERYTHING* 
  
*I smile myself awake* 
*The dream now vivid* 
*It's time to rise again.*
