Am I proud to have made the Earth?  
Did I feel pride when the stardust settled?  
  
Am I proud to have cleared the skies?  
Did I feel pride when the clouds burst?  
  
Am I proud to have filled the oceans?  
Did I feel pride when the whales called?  
  
Am I proud to have formed the land?  
Did I feel pride when the humans walked?  
  
Yes and no.  
No and yes.  
  
Pride lies somewhere between the two,  
pride that cannot diminish loves hue.
